OPEN TEST ROMANIA PROJECT
During November 20th 2019 – July 31st 2021 “Stefan S. Nicolau” Institute of Virology (IVN) is implied in the project “OPEN-TEST: una nuova strategia per migliorare e favorie l'accesso al test HIV ed HCV in Romania” - grant Ref. OPM/2018/01274, principal partener ANLAIDS Sezione Lombarda, Milano, Italia. The project is realized with the Otto per Mille funds of the Waldensian Church.
OPEN-TEST aim to tackle the primary issue of HIV/HCV prevention and make people aware of their status, especially among most-at-risk populations, through the promotion of HIV/HCV oral test and counselling that is key to expand prevention, treatment and care.
OPEN-TEST project develops and implements strategies to improve early diagnosis and to design tools for timely treatment for priority groups in the participating regions. The final objective of OPEN-TEST is to define the uptake, quality and effectiveness of HIV/HCV testing interventions.
OPEN-TEST project will improve access to early diagnosis of HIV/HCV and timely treatment and care of most vulnerable groups and in priority regions. The project adopts a strategic evidence-based approach to develop and implement effective HIV testing interventions and to ensure equal access for all citizens to HIV testing and counselling services.
